For who ?

The participation in regular courses is strictly reserved to members of the association Le Temps du Tango.
It is recommended to have followed an initiation workshop before to join a regular class, or already know the basics.
sunday's, monday's and tuesday's "basics" classes follow the initiation workshop.
"further explorations and rythm" class requires to have attended one year of basics courses.
Vals and milonga requires to have attended one year of basics courses.

What ?

Courses are aimed at teaching the fundamental principles of tango, including:

•  leading,
•  reciprocal listening within the couple,
•  musicality,
•  management of dance space (what moves are possible within the available space), which means more than the apprenticeship of immutable choreographic sequences.

The tango that we teach corresponds to social ball tango danced in the "milongas" of the whole world (term designating places where one dances the tango), and can be practiced by all. This tango is not the same as stage/show tango that includes jumps, or spectacular figures that one can see in the shows.

How ?

Courses last for an hour and half and always begin with a physical preparation based on what will be developed in the course. An important proportion of the course is devoted to exercises aimed at working on the fundamentals of posture, step, balance, rhythm, breathing, communication within the couple.
Dancers change partners regularly throughout the course. If you have no partner, look in the messages tango partners if you can find the right person. Or make up your own ad.

Where and When ?

Courses run from September to mid June on sundays in La Sourdière in two very beautiful halls (wooden floor) on the first (110m2 air conditioned) and second floors (90m2 air conditioned). And in Alesia in a wooden floor room (80m2)
